The 7 Churches of Revelation

The Lord recently presented to me the opportunity to teach an adult Sunday School class at my home church. After thinking and praying about what to teach about, the Lord laid on my heart to teach on the 7 churches in Revelation. We can find a wealth of truth in each of the letters written by Christ Himself to these 7 local churches. When we have the chance to dig deep into the text, the Lord shows us many precious gems that we can use 2,000 years after these churches were first addressed. I hope to post some lessons that we can learn from these churches in the following days.

Sophia - A Wise Choice & Challenge

Cute & Precious

Showered with Love & Gifts

On February 14th (V-Day), we were blessed to have Sophia Lynn. She was born 7.68 lbs & 21 1/4" long. She was born @ 10:14pm. Since she has been born, she has been a tremendous blessing and encouragement to us. Her name comes from the Greek word "sophos" meaning wisdom. That presented three amazing truths for us. It showed us that God in His infinite wisdom would give the perfect child for us. At the same time, her name challenges us to live in the wisdom of Christ as we raise her as her parents. Finally, our prayer is that she would be saved at an early age as well as grow to live out her name in a godly way that pleases the Lord.

Proverbs 22:1 - "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches."

MOB - Missing our Blogging

It has been a long time since we have been blogging. With hectic schedules, Facebook, etc, we have neglected to keep our blog going. Since our last post was on April 19th or something, a lot has happened. Most importantly, we have been blessed by God to have our first child, Sophia. She has been growing, growing and growing lately. We also have moved back to MI to search for a church to serve in. It has also been a crazy three months since I graduated from Pensacola Theological Seminary. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek God's direction in the coming weeks.

We are very sorry that it has been so long since we have updated last. Life here has been very busy for us. This last Saturday I was involved in a baby shower for a lady in our church, and next Saturday were having a three on three basketball tournament at a local high school. Please pray that all will go well with that and many souls would come to know Christ as there personal Saviour. Our building project at our church has been coming along, but there have been some snags along the way, please pray that the Lord would move those snags away and that we can be finished sooner then later. Please keep us in your prayers as this semester is drawing to a close, which means a busier time for me at work with graduation and students wanting their grades (imagine that).
Here is a picture of us when we went the last fine arts event here where we were able to hear one the Three Tenors sing. I really enjoyed it.
I'm sorry but we don't take many pictures and we usual forget our camera when we go places. I hope you all are doing fine and please keep in touch.

Here are a few new pictures of our building project here at Central. It has been really amazing to watch the Lord work through this process. Many building projects bring pressure and strain upon a church, but the Lord has protected us from this fate. All we can say as we have watched this building progress is . . . To God be the Glory, Great things He has done!!

Here are some other pictures as well

Here is where the entrance will be

Finally, here is a look at the inside of the building:

Neewollah

Here is Noah and his lovely wife.
Many of the kids enjoyed the candle squirt

Many of them enjoyed Moo Bowling
Some of the kids dressed up like animals and one as a little Noah

Our Activity for this last month was our Noah's Ark Neewollah Party. It was on Halloween (which spelled backwards makes Neewollah). The interns and us set up about 12 game booths and invited many kids to come and play. They had a lot of fun, we had about 14 kids come 8 of them visitors. They all heard a gospel message. Please pray of those that came that they would come back to church again.

Saturday Oct 11th , we came over at about 7:00am to help throw down sod for our retention ponds. It was a lot of work (13 pallets of sod), but many church members came to help so it only took us about 1 1/2 hours to complete it. It was a lot of fun.
